I was skeptical about buying furniture on the internet without seeing the product first. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I wish the matching night stands weren't so expensive as I bought cheaper stands from a different product line and the espresso colors don't match. As for the bed, it squeaked the first night and has been quiet ever since. I guess the rails had to settle into place.

Service and delivery comments:

I called a week ahead of delivery to notify a change of address. I even told the trucking company two days before they came out. Still, the bed was delivered to my old address (dropped off w/out signature) so I had to go back and pick it up myself.

I was skeptical to buy a new bed sight unseen. The deal on this bed was too good to pass up. It was easy to assemble, creeked twice the first night, and has been quiet and sturdy ever since.

Delivery was slower than I thought. I made sure to inform both bedroomfurniture.com as well as the delivery company about my change of address, yet they still delivered it to my old address.

This bed is for my teenaged son's room. It was put together by the shipping people. They had to borrow tools from ME to screw it together. They were able to screw every other one in due to how many were missing. [...]It was missing over half of the needed screws (but since I had read that was a problem in another review--I had extras on hand for when my husband came home.) I did not allow my son to sit on the bed until all of the screws were put in. My husband also cut out two more center support legs for the center bar and this helped make it beefier and it certainly did not squeak at all then. I would recommend it...although it would get higher marks if it came with all the pieces and was a little beefier in construction.

Delivery was later than expected. Details on the carriers website were not always accurate. Delivery persons did not have the simple tools needed for basic assembly.

I guess you get what you pay for. The frame is nice looking and sturdy. It comes with slats to hold the box spring or mattress up. There is a center support that holds these up. This support if very weak. It comes with 2 legs to hold it up. Whenever the bed is moved, these legs, although bolted in, bend and look as though they are going to snap off of the support. There are also dowels on these legs to hold them in. I also put 2 of my own screws in to hold them tighter. There are three things holding them now, the dowels, the bolts, plus my 2 extra screws, looking under the bed and sliding it, they still look as though they are going to give. This center support is only connected to the bed by way of the slats. Not all of the holes line up, so you can't use all of the hardware to secure it. The bed looks nice, but the underside has appeared very weak and cheap so far. It would be nice if the center support was thicker, more sturdy and physically connected to the headboard and footboard. A small (5" or so) box spring may fix this problem, but a normal size box spring that I happen to have, my bed is almost 4 feet in the air. Take some of this into consideration when purchasing. Product met our expectations of quality construction and appearance. It was easy to assemble -- clear directions. We are very satisfied and not a unit we could find locally.

Took longer to get it delivered than we had hoped for. Order processing was almost a week and another 7-10-days for delivery to the house. It seemed to "sit" somewhere waiting for a regional truck to deliver. Perhaps our location was a problem?

Would have liked a bit more info on "drop ship" delivery procedures. (i.e. carrier calls a day ahead -- will help transport a short distance -- note carton damage, etc.) First time for us.

The bed is beautiful. The wood is wonderful and very rich in color. I am extremely happy with the bed. The directions for assembly were confusing and certain predrilled holes did not like up for the bed slates but that was minor. I would recommend this bed.
