I bought this desk for my personal office and it has been a great addition. I have limited space in my office and this desk fits in perfectly. I had read that this desk sat a little low, but i'm only 5'4 so it fits me perfectly. I would definately recommend this desk.

Comments about Prepac 48" W Sonoma Computer Desk in Black:
Exactly what I thought it was going to be except that the keyboard tray is the same height as my knees (I'm 6'0" tall). Plus a mid-tower in the computer compartment means that the shelf that's supposed to go in isn't practical.

Before, my son never used his old desk for doing homework. His desk wasn't deep enough..even thou he had a flat panel monitor. This desk is perfect size, and he even has a desk lamp on it too. Plenty of extra room to write.

Comments about Prepac 48" W Sonoma Computer Desk in Black:
The desk turned out to be a nice buy, but not too easy to assemble. First of all we got 2 left sides of the desk, and had to contact the manufacturer to ship us the right side. I think we got in slightly over a week's time. Then, it turned out that some of the holes were not pre-drilled and we ended up getting more tools and taking measurements to put it all together. That was inconvenient but at the end the desk was ready, and it looks nice. It's also quite stable and holds all necessary things just fine. The sliding keyboard panel is not too stable and is somewhat shaky, but you only notice it when you have to slide it out and back in, otherwise it is not all too noticeable.
