If you fill it up as fast as we did, ensure that it leans against a flat surface -- no crown moldings or wall extrusions that make the back wall uneven.

Originally I was solely attracted to this item's storage capacity but we found that the cherry color fits into our living room color scheme nicely. Usually put together items like this are one solid color and boring but this item is unique enough to stand out without looking like it doesn't belong. The unit was pretty darn easy to put together but without my wife's help it would have been difficult. I would definitely get another one of these if I needed it but with a maximum storage capacity of 1,500 CDs I think i'm gonna be hard pressed to fill this thing up.

The storage unit was fairly easy to assemble; however, the cardboard backing is a little difficult to secure without nails showing through the pressed board vertical and horizontal supports. Also, the storage unit is unstable and it needs to be secured with the provied strap. I have 2 children and I do not allow them to retrieve any videos or cds without supervision.

I wanted this product to store a large volume of VHS tapes and DVD's. Putting it together was quick and painless, but I was surprised at how narrow the four sections were. On screen it appears gigantic. Description says it holds up to 400-something VHS tapes, but I'm only up to 212 and I think I'm running out of space. We'll see. [$] was a lot of money to pay for a press-board, 5-gable, 3-tops, and single base, with lots of shelving storage piece. I saw it on another site, after the fact for [$].It's a good product but a little over rated and priced. I would have loved it at [$].

Once you put CD's in it it becomes more stable. You need a lot of room to put it together. Not hard to assemble just a little tricky. It is great for large collections. I like the shelves on top so that you can put things on top. Makes it more appealing.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was good and fast considering it cost nothing. Thank goodness for big strong guys to pick up the boxes. They are quite heavy and awkward.

So much of the assembly furniture now a days is using time proven common construction fittings even if you have no experience this is as simple as it gets. My mildly handicapped (down syndrome) 19 year old son with just a lttle help from me and the electric screwdriver put the first one together in about 1 hour 45 minutes. The second one took about 45 minutes.
