This nightstand is built well, however, the attention to detail could be better. The stain is beautiful - however, there are some spots that were missed but it's ok because it is behind the front legs which will probably never be seen. Also, i found a small chip at the bottom of the leg...not sure if this was from shipping or the product itself. Overall, it is not perfect, that's why i gave it 4 stars. The drawer front/and box is solid as stated. The drawer bottom could have been built better. Feels like a thick piece of cardboard which sort of takes away from the overall feel of the piece. But, there are corner blocks so that bottom isn't going anywhere.

I am going to purchase the dresser as well, since I am happy with my purchase overall.

I use this product as a bedside nightstand. The color is a very attracitve cherry stain that goes well with most colors and styles. The nightstand has a good surface space that can hold a lamp and other items such as pictures or doodads. It has a very roomy drawer and the bottom of the stand is deep enough to put small art objects. I have a few complaints about the nightstands. They include: surface scratches, a cracked peice of wood under the drawer which was put back together and repainted, some rough edges underneath the top surface, uneven color stain (looks like a water stain) and (the bottom of one nightstand was completely unattached from the stand and does not fit back into its place properly [...]).

I have the entire set. My lady friend has commented several times about how much she likes it and has awarded me big points for taste - so who cares about anything else? Seriously. It looks and feels like its much more expensive than it is, and the nightstand is an especially solid piece and very attractive. I was pleasantly surprised by its "larger than most nightstands" size.

I bought the South Shore Back Bay collection several years ago (from this site) and sold it on Craigslist to replace with the Modus Nevis collection. I'm glad I did. The quality is great, having a real wood product is really nice (I think this may have veneers or something, but I can't tell where - it seems like real wood to me).

The drawer glides are nice, there's a lot of storage space, and it's a great nightstand. I don't really know what else to say. The finish is really nice.
