Since 1931, the Magnussen family has been committed to blending the fine qualities that they value in life into the fine furniture they offer their customers. Integrity. Ingenuity. Style. Dedication. Magnussen delivers more than the norm. At Magnussen Home, they go "BEYOND THE EXPECTED."
From the beginning as a small furniture company in Ontario, Canada, Magnussen has evolved into a full line furniture resource with offices in Ontario, Canada; High Point, NC; Riverside, CA; and, the Far East. Their business is creating furniture designs of exceptional style, value and beauty. Magnussen produces these designs in partnership with their manufacturing partners around the world that meet exacting standards for superior quality at the best possible value.
The foundation of Magnussen's success is built on the company's core values of trust, honesty, and respect. Each of my teammates at Magnussen Home participates in the success of the company and is eager to ensure that their furniture products enrich the homes of customers with their exceptional style and workmanship.
An unrivaled value in home furnishings -- this is the commitment that they renew everyday to consumers who invite Magnussen Home into their lives. Magnussen sources their designs from only the finest home furnishings manufacturers, many in the Far East and Central America.
Even as the company has grown larger, the principles of a family-run business -- trust, honesty and respect -- continue to be its foundation. The company was founded in 1931 by Ingwer Magnussen. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman by heart, Ingwer took the bold initiative to start his own business in Kitchener, Ontario, when he was unable to find work during the 1930s depression. He beautifully and intricately carved show wood for sofa frames for upholstery manufacturers and his business grew into a good-sized company serving Canada.
Richard Magnussen, Ingwer's son, joined the company in 1970 at the age of 20. Richard steered the company's focus on expansion and growth, enabling Magnussen Furniture to become Canada's largest supplier of occasional tables. In 1986, Richard founded Presidential Furniture, a division of Magnussen Furniture, to serve the U.S. market. In 1986, the company began trading as Magnussen-Presidential Furniture, which became one of the most progressive occasional furniture suppliers in North America. With an eye to detail and an understanding of the worth of exclusive designs, Richard built relationships with international manufacturers from around the world and tapped a huge growth opportunity. Magnussen-Presidential Furniture began importing from the Orient a decade before fashion trends and design styles in the furniture business made it in vogue to do so.
In 2002, Magnussen-Presidential Furniture became Magnussen Home. The addition of "Home" reflects what Magnussen offers as a company -- fine furniture, designed and created by a family of craftsmen from around the world, to fill the most important rooms in your home.
The Difference
Details are important... even down to where you will set a water glass. They have a passion for details. It stems from how Magnussen runs their company, grows into the conveniences they design into their furniture, and blooms into the relationships built with their valued dealers.
Magnussen designs every piece of furniture that carries the Magnussen Home name. They understand that finishing touches like intricately carved woodwork or ironwork do more than complete the look of a piece of furniture; they set the tone of your home. Magnussen furniture does more than fill a home. It expresses who we are.
An unwavering commitment to ensuring your satisfaction is our most important difference. More on Magnussen Furniture...

Comments about Magnussen Furniture Patterson Rectangular Coffee Table:
The online picture was accurate, which was important since I wanted to match the brown-orange finish in a Southwestern cabinet. The table is strong but easy to put together, The finish is consistent and well-applied, and the drawers glide smoothly. To protect the leather-like top, a thin sheet of material, I put felt on the bottoms of three small, heat-proof tiles. They work like coasters. The table is heavy, so I'm glad it comes with wheels. On a thick carpet, they don't roll too much.

Comments about Magnussen Furniture Patterson Rectangular Coffee Table:
I needed a very large coffee table to put between my two sofas, but needed something to easily roll away and store (to pull out sleeper sofas). I put these two tables together (back to back)with a table runner down the middle to hide seam where they come together. I looks like one big, beautiful square table, but when I need to move them to open sleeper sofa, they just separate and roll away. The wheels are hidden and the tables glide so beautifully. So very impressed with these tables-just what I was looking for for 8 months! The leather on top is very dark brown-but still matches my chocolate brown recliners. Also, the description for these tables does not let you know that the drawers have wonderful separators inside them-definitely a bonus. Wood is very rich-just like picture. Surprised by how solid this piece is.
Service and delivery comments:
The tables arrived right on their due date. Tables were packaged VERY well. Nothing was damaged. The customer service was wonderful to work with-very knowlegable, polite, and helpful.
I'm so impressed.

Comments about Magnussen Furniture Patterson Rectangular Coffee Table:
I couldn't believe I found such a nice coffee table at such a low price. It's made of all wood, no partical board, and has nice wood details. Also, the finish is very durable against scratches or liquid.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was surprisingly fast. When I got it, one of the top corners was cracked, but I just glued it back and stained it a little and it looks fine.

Great piece if you like eclectic style. My only con is that one of the drawers is a little hard to close and open not sure if all tables are like that but at least mine is but I believe It is easy to fix. Other than that It is a very nice table.
