I thought the frame was going to be wood but it is plastic (or something light weight). It looks nice and the benefit is that it wasn't hard to hang. It seems to be keeping time well enough.

The inconsistencies are too consistent. Its "Distressed" appearance looks very planned. You can't see this in the picture because it's actually worse around the outside of the rim. Not at all what I had hoped for. Doesn't keep time very well; in just five days, it's about a minute off *sad face*.
