The item arrived, was placed and installed by the "white glove" crew, who did an excellent job setting it up where I wanted. All my electronics fit just fine; a 52" plasma and 2 33" high front speakers fit perfectly on top. I installed the glass panels on the side doors, leaving the screen panel in the center for the center channel speaker. I originally had 3 cabinets holding all my equipment so now everything is all together! And it looks GREAT!
The ONLY suggestion I would make is, if you have an A/V receiver that runs warm, to install a small circulating fan on the back panel to draw the hot air out so the equipment does not overheat. There are fans about 4" wide that are designed especially for this and mount easily. An option available with the brand I bought is a thermostat which allows you to set the highest temp you want to allow in the space. The fan then automatically runs when it reaches that temperature and stops when it cools enough. This keeps the fan from running all the time or the need for you to manually turn it on and off. Also, the fan I have is very quiet and cannot be heard over the running equipment. When nothing is running, the fan can be heard but very soft; the first time I heard it I wasn't sure what it was that I was hearing! So I am completely happy with this setup, including the fan. It is as perfect a setup as I could ever ask for. So the cabinet is an excellent value and investment.
Service and delivery comments:
I received "white glove" delivery so got additional handling when the stand was delivered. I received a call to schedule a day and time for delivery. When it showed up, the crew unpacked it outside then brought the stand into the house and placed it in my family room. They then proceeded to install the doors and shelves, asking me which panels I wanted; the solid or glass. Then before they left, they made sure I was happy with the stand and what they had done. They were very courteous and professional. Overall, the delivery and installation was a very positive experience.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
