Comments about Hillsdale Furniture Hawthorn Leather Platform Bed:

Leather exterior and headboard are exactly the style and shape we wanted.
Unfortunately, the King-Size mattress support is made of flimsy, ill fitting plastic tips over bowed slats, "supported," in a manner of speaking, by a one inch square hollow metal leg. The slightest bit of shear or torque caused the whole assembly to slow-crash to the floor. "Disappointed" does not quite cover the range of emotions I felt, looking up from the floor.
It cost me more than $100 in supplies and a full days work to build a platform within the frame. I wish csn were available to provide a substitute support system.
