The Gold Bond Story: Comfort In A 3rd Century
People in the late 1800's were much like we are today. Folks needed their rest after a long day's work. Good sleep has always been the goal for centuries. But a really comfortable mattress? Using it for the kids room futon/bunk bed. The kids realy like it. We don't feel the support bars.

The futon mattress is our primary sofa and also serves as our guest bed. The comfort is good. However, the mattress does not bend well in the frame while in the sofa position.

I purchased the mattress for a guest bedroom in our ranch house. The mattress is too firm and the tufts create an extremely uneven sleeping surface. Good luck getting rest on this mattress!

I use this mattress as an extra bed for guests, storing it under another bed when not in use. It is perfect for this (I also have a 4" thick Gold Bond futon mattress for the same purpose). Using it only on the floor, it can feel pretty hard since the floor doesn't give, but this is not a flaw in the product. A very good value.

Delivery was prompt. I had to contact customer service for a minor issue and they were responsive and helpful. I would gladly use futonmattress.com again.

Growing up, in a different country, I always slept on all cotton mattresses. As a graduate student int he US, I slept on carpet floors, and a foam futon. When I got my first job I went through the misery of a donated spring mattress - it made me pity the naive engineer who may have thought of such a bad idea that stems off of a culture of waste and excess. Coming back to this futon mattress I am glad that it also co-exists in the same culture to offer freedom from coils and springs.
