Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. I love this crib, the color and the look but they dont send any covers to cover up all the screw holes in the front. We are currently looking for something but having trouble matching the color!

What you see on the internet is what you get. The color is great and it is a sturdy product. I am all about price comparing online and in stores, this was the best value and it is a great product. Buy it! Stop looking around, this is the best value.

I am a first time parent and crib owner and I was amazed at how easy this crib was to assemble. The matching dresser has adequate drawer space and was also easy to assemble. I have had several comments on all three pieces about the quality and looks of this set.

The dresser is BIG. Really. BIG crib, with convertible crib definately big We have an older house with limited closet space and this with the changing table space allow oodles of storage. My husband is a physician and was able to assemble quickly and with no thrown tools or curse words noted. [...]Changing table pad "puny", you'll still want an aftermarket. The coffee color actually looks a little more like cherry and not as dark as I had hoped. For the price, they are good pieces of furniture, but definitely scratch easily. I really like the unique shape of the crib and have had many compliments on it.

It took a few hours to put together, but wasn't too bad. The directions aren't as clear as they should be. There were a lot of washers that I guess you're just supposed to know what to do with them. They're shown at the beginning as part of what should be in your box, but doesn't instruct you to do anything with them. After we put everything together and noticed we still had all the washers, we assumed they were to be used with every screw? Oh well.
It would be nice if the crib wasn't as tall, the swooping front helps a little bit, but its hard to get a sleeping 9 month old in it without waking him. It can be a little hard on the back and I'm 5'5". But we manage. It would be nice if the front dropped down, but with my son standing up, holding and leaning on the front I feel more secure knowing that it doesn't move.
All in all, I don't regret the purchase, its sturdy, beautiful, not too hard to put together. We haven't even put the drawer underneath together yet. If its worth mentioning, I'll add another comment.
